Persons claiming to be with Public Clearing House are calling people, with knowledge of their names and addresses, and stating that they have won a prize; but in order to receive the prize they need to write a check for over $200.   Obviously one should not need to submit monies to claim a prize!   A BIG FAT SCAM!!

Brenda Newell has been appointed to finish the term limits of Ald. Wade Robson who resigned his elected position due to a move out of state.  She is a local business owner and resident.

Due to lack of interest and commitment by vendors AND customers Lakeview will NOT have a Farmers Market in 2014.  If you as citizens want this to continue it must be up to you to solicit the return of the vendors in Mountain Home to return to Lakeview for the Farmers Market here.  The vendors need customers in order to make it worth their time and effort to bring in and set up their products.  No customers, no vendors!

Alderman Robson resigns

Alderman Wade Robson, Ward 3, Position 2, resigned his position 3/18/14 due to a move to accept a new employment position in Branson, MO.  His post will be reassigned for the remainder of the term as of the next City Council meeting May 20, 2014.  Persons interested in applying for this position must live in this ward and will be given consideration by Council for appointment.

Thanks to the snow and ice the burn ban was lifted 3/3/14.  It is recommended that you still watch your fire and have a hose handy for anything that might get out of control.

Hooray!  The flooring in the Community Center and City Hall is being replaced.  Up comes the old stained carpet and down goes a new improved CLEANABLE hard surface!! We hope those of you that are scheduled for activities on March 20 through March 22 are forgiving for any inconveniences, but we think you’ll approve of the changes.
